The Arabian Mountaineering & Alpine Climbing (AMAC) is an independent non-commercial organization. It is designed to promote outdoor activities and thrill sports particularly for the youth. Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the AMAC is a focal point for international mountaineers, clubs and organizations for great climbing areas like Himalaya, Karakoram and Hindu Kush access.

AMAC’s programs offer something for everyone — whether they are an aspiring mountaineer or have years of experience. Their aim is to help international community to discover and develop their potential to care for themselves, others and the world around them through challenging experiences in unfamiliar settings.

AMAC provides youth the means to develop their character in close contact with nature, to get to know and love their country and participate in meaningful practical learning to develop community spirit and engender national integration. They also offer all kinds of people opportunity to step out of their routine life and seek adventure in the natural environment. With an emphasis on Mountaineering, Adventure Oriented Activities and Education the Club is dedicated to:

• Extending self-awareness through purposeful ventures in outdoor situations
• Expanding capacity for responding to others by organized group activities
• Enhancing environmental awareness to perceive and identify the natural heritage by conducting outings and courses in the wilderness
• Create an attitude to participate in action-oriented form of learning
• Unite the energy, interest, and knowledge of the students, explorers and mountain lovers
• Collect and disseminate information regarding the Mountains in behalf of science, literature, art, and recreation
• Promote and spread the knowledge about the mountains and mountaineering in the UAE
• To serve club members and the UAE climbing community as a whole. Also to provide climbers with a broad array of helpful benefits that allows them more and better access to alpine environments.
• Cultivation of mountain skill, and the promotion of good fellowship among climbers of all nationalities.
• Stimulate public interest in the mountain areas of UAE
• Conservation and preservation of the mountain environment of UAE mountain area's and the representation of the interests and concerns of the climbing community
• Encouragement of mountain climbing and explorations in the greater ranges
