The Micro Aviation Club mainly go flying in the Dibba area where we have a 350 metre high take-off site facing the ocean.  You can do some exellent soaring here when the conditions are right.  Paramotoring is mainly done above the sand dunes or in beach areas in the United Arab Emirates.


Where and how can I train?


The Micro Aviation Club offers paragliding and paramotoring training in the United Arab Emirates. We have qualified European instructors and are members of Emirates Aviation Association and FAI.

Where is the training location?


Training is held on the Dubai – Abu Dhabi border at the Jebel Ali Open Beach Area.  To find us take the road located after the ENOC Station at the Dubai Abu Dhabi border Police Station.  This will directly to the beach and an artificial hill where training takes place.  Ground handling sometimes take place at Jumeirah Beach Park although there is no paramotoring here!

How long does the training take?


The Microaviation Club's training is ten full days and completion of the course will depend on individual committment and the weather.

 

What does the training include?

Lessons 1-3 or 4 (each lesson is 1 hour 30 minutes) 

  • Basic Theory knowledge
  • Supervised ground handling on the beach with an Instructor
  • Safety equipment details

By this point you could be pushed up into the air (1 metre above the ground) to experience your 1st flight!

  • Learning to take off and land safely (10-15 small take offs) with a flying altitude of 30 - 35 metres
At this point you can purchase  your own equipment!  After 3 successful take off's  with your paramotor you will receive your A Club Pilot License.

Will I get a copy of my license to keep?


Yes.  You can also convert this to an international license or a license originating from your home country.

How much does it cost?


The Microaviation Club's training fees are 3500 AED which includes 1 year of membership fee from the Micro Aviation Club.  You are also required to pay an extra 250 AED for the Emirates Aviation Assosiation yearly fee.

Will my equipment be provided during training?


Yes during the training we will provide the glider, harness and helmet for your training (Price included in the training fees).

How much will it cost me to purchase my own equipment?


In general you can buy an excellent canopy for 2200 - 2600 Euro; harnesses 300-400 Euro; engine (for paramotoring) 3600 to 5500 Euro;  and helmets from 10 till 500 Euro.

  • A completed application form
  • Passport and visa copy
  • 2 passport photos
  • Full training fees and EAA registration fee
When can I start?

Class sizes are from 5 - 6 people so register with us to fit into the next class!
